FORGED WHEELS

GOYSAR forged wheels S.L. is a new company established in 2008, whose activities are the design, development, production and sales of light alloy wheels.

Despite its short life, Gfw has a long experience producing wheels, developing projects through the design and the engineering.

Gfw designs and develops its own wheels and also for its customers, focusing on a high performance market and on the most important and relevant customers from the automotive sector.

Most of the staff and the current technology of Gfw come from a previous international experience developing wheels. 

DEVELOPMENT

When the Design is developed in Gfw, we work on the progress of the project at the same time, considering geometric and structural conditions and the material that it’s going to be used. Thus, when the Design of the wheel is approved, by a client or by our own company, it is when has been realized part of the project. Wheels that are designed and developed will be produced by the means that Gfw have.

With each development an Applications List is created, that defines how many vehicles will use the same design and for how many measures has to be adapted. With this list the Design Department has the basic information to start a very good development.

The development of the project is the first step we take when certain clients only need the engineering part from one of their designs realized. It is also the first step when the Design is adapted for the mechanized process and a wheel that was developed for been produced by melting.

The objective of the Development from each project, after the F.E.A process, it’s to obtain the 3D model and the drawings for the final approval and for its production.

 

F.E.A. Finite Elements Analysys

The Structural Calculation realized on the wheel is aimed to undergo to the equivalent of a 200,000 cycles testing. In Gfw we work with a high safety factor about the fatigue limit typical of the material.

In order to execute the Finite Elements Analysis, is used the information captured previously in the Applications List, like the weight of the vehicle (load); the ET of the vehicle and the rolling circumference.

The calculations realized are analyzed by coloured diagrams (Von Mises), where are calculated the half effective tension on each point.
